Our Mission : To Provide a Single Source for All Golf Services and Information Channels.
What do such lofty goals entail? We cannot and would not attempt to manage
every aspect of the golf service industry. However, by partnering with industry service units
we can become a source for each of the Services and Channels.
RSS or Really Simple Syndication provides this vehicle for information exchange. In its simpliest
form it is a web page following specific formating guidelines and containing information.
A more complex RSS feed may also contain formatting instructions and styles, publishing info,
content scripting, messaging, advertising and much more.
Our first focus is to provide golf course mapping and to seek out major partners interested in
collaborating to provide the most up-to-date golf industry information including
course and product reviews, clubs, training, schools, news, photos, etc. Our plans for the future
are numerous and exciting and will be unvailed in time.
How do our partners benefit. For one, links in your RSS feeds bring visitors back to your web site.
We also provide RSS feeds which partners can publish on their sites. One of these feeds is an IFrame
providing a limited map view but one in which you can specify a starting course or geographic location
and where your visitors can see all USGolfers course locations on the map.
For those that request assistance, our team provides html, web and database development,
and graphics design services at very competitive rates.

So tell me which segment of the Golf Industry is your focus? Are you ready to feed me your updated information?
Once we add your site geo link information each time the map is repositioned or zoomed
we query our database for links to include. If your lat, lng coordinates are on the map
and a corner(NE, SE, SW, or NW) from your bounds are on the current
map your link is a candidate for display. The top candidates sorted by view count,
then click count will be listed. The maximum number of links returned will be
determined by the user. For non-member users, the minimum is currently 10 or
the number of links found.
While we will randomly select and provide equal exposure to free listings,
we will only show a limited number links at a time.
Keep in mind this is beta and a different algorithim may replace this.
Also, we are not ready just yet to use your marker imagery. So you'll have to be content
with our generic flag marker. But please include your marker and shadow URIs in your
meta tags.

USGolfers greatly appreciates all the News providers and who generously offer their
valued content and commentary.
We understand and appreciate the value of this content. Our news parser in no way knowingly alters
any aspect of the news feed. Links provided by the feeder within the news feed may
take the user away from the USGolfers.com web site. The links to the news feed however,
should open a new window to the feeder for viewing.
While we peruse the web looking for interestingly valuble news feeds we appreciate additional
submissions from our readers. We will evaluate the link but cannot guarantee we will include your
submitted feed.
Documentation and support always seem to take the back seat. Sorry :(
Also this will be kind of my blog, until I implement one so check this for updates.
Close - Closes this panel.
I start with Close because it's also related to opening this panel.
It will re-open by clicking any flag.
Clicking on the logo image toggles this panel open and closed.
Home - Our Mission and some explanation of what we're doing and why.
Course - Shows course information.
When clicking :
The Courses Flag :This panel shows how many courses could display in the current map viewing area.
The Courses Flag is the checkered flag and it always displays map-center. When you move it the map
is repositioned making it again the map-center.
See Search for rules on how the map gets populated with courses.
You can clear groups of or all the courses on the map from here.

I think there's help in it's panel. You might want to look there.
:) I'm only playing with you.
I really do know how it works but I don't want to get into it all here. It is a pretty powerful search though.
Advertising - Nothing here yet. I'm looking for marketing partners that can serve up good,
inexpensive geographic and content(golf) related advertisements. I don't want to bombard users just
have it pay for my efforts.
News - A variety of News Feeders :
USGA(New), Golf Publisher(New), About.com, PGATour, The Golf Channel, Sports Illustrated, Golf Gear, Consumers review.
Send me others you'd like included. Or wait for me to find them.
