In FY 2007, DCAA audited $135 billion of costs incurred on contracts and reviewed 8,182 forward pricing proposals amounting to $215 billion. Approximately $2.4 billion in net savings were reported as a result of the audit findings associated with these audits. When compared to the $453 million expended for the Agency's operations, the return on taxpayers' investment in DCAA was approximately $5.30 for each dollar invested.
