Natural remedies to clean/strenghten your kidneys:

-eat a lot of watermellon (or juice it) in combination with brown bread

-drink cherries stems and/or Corn silk tea (the silky yellow/ginger threads from sweet corn)

-Cherry Stems are known for their diuretic quality which promotes proper kidney function. Cherry Stems, from the family of rose shrubs, also have depurative, laxative properties which are useful for fighting anemia, cellulitis, constipation, cystitis, diuresis, flu, lithiasis, obesity, and rheumatism.

- Corn silk clears toxins, catarrh, deposits and irritants out of the kidneys and bladder, and has a gentle antiseptic and healing action. Corn silk makes a good remedy for frequency of urination and bedwetting due to irritation or weakness of the urinary system, and has been used for urinary stones and gravel.

- juice and/or eat cherries - Cherries are considered alkaline, warm, and sweet. They make an excellent detoxifying food, helping the body eliminate uric acid, cleanse the kidneys, move blood stagnation and impart a rosy glow to the complexion. In the 1920's, American doctors suggested black cherries for kidney stones and gall bladder ailments

Edgar Cayce's Watermelon Seed Tea For Kidney Stones
(Remedy 1695-2)
http://www.deepdownwellness.com/store/watermelonseed.html
----------------

"Watermelon seed tea is a diuretic recommended in the Cayce readings, particularly as a stimulant to cleanse and purify the kidneys and bladder.

INDICATIONS AND USAGE
Watermelon seed tea was specifically recommended by Edgar Cayce for kidney stones. It was also suggested to simulate underactive kidneys.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
No known contraindications.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
At least once a day, three days a week, take watermelon seed tea prepared by pouring a pint of boiling water over a tablespoonful of watermelon seed (ground or cut) and allowing it to steep. Let it cool, then strain and drink. If practical, the tea should be made fresh for each use.

CAYCE QUOTE ON REMEDY 1695-2
But at least once a day, three days a week, do take watermelon seed tea as a part of the water. This would be prepared by pouring a pint of boiling water over a tablespoonful of watermelon seed (ground or cut) and allowing it to steep. Let it cool, then strain and drink. This will clarify those conditions that cause reactions in the kidneys and bladder, for, the lack of eliminations and the slowing up of the circulation causes a greater quantity of drosses to be held in the system, and these need to be eliminated from the body.

More will be eliminated through using this stimuli for the kidney activity than in most any way."

Note: Watermellon without seeds are genetically modified. We have an organic farm here in Vegas, I know it's weird, Rolling Eyes but we are lucky we have one here in this desert. However we buy organic watermellons with seeds and we pick up our own apples. Wonderful!!!
We blend the seeds and watermellon and its so tasty and healthy!
