Cute little Tree Frame. You can leave a large loop at the top for a hanger, or just make a small picot if using a metal one. *LR 3ds p 3ds p 3ds p 1ds (make large picot if using as a hanger) 1ds p 3ds p 3ds p 3ds cl rw Ch 3ds p 3ds rw R 3ds + (to side of large ring picot) 3ds p 3ds p 3ds (Do not turn) R 3ds + ( to side p of small ring) 3ds p 3ds p 3ds cl rw Ch 3ds p 3ds p 3ds p 3ds rw R 3ds p 3ds +(join to top picot of last small ring) 3ds p 3ds (Do not turn) R 3ds + (to side picot of last small ring) 3ds p 3ds p 3ds cl rw Ch 3ds P 3ds rw This will bring you to the side large ring, work around from * twice All Trees were made by me, Roger aka Freedman and have © 2000 - 2005 | This tree can be made by doing each row individually or you can do it by using split rings and split chains. This tree is just 3ds 3picots sep. by 3ds and chains are 3ds p 3ds each row would have to be cut and a new row started to work up for one. To do it with split rings and split chains please see the Tut for Split Chains, HERE First printed on Needle Tatting with Tatman aka Roger ©2001 All Trees were made by me, Roger aka Freedman and have © 2000 - 2005 | This tree is a variation of the above split ring, split chains tree. It is a fuller effect for the tree and again, each row can also be done individually or you can do it with splits. The basic rings are 1ds 9 picots sep. by 1 ds each Rw and chains are 1ds 7 picots sep. by 1ds each. Each ring is joined to the second picot of prev. ring. Each row is joined to the center picot of chains as you work up. Work across for number of rings you desire. If doing splits please see the Tut on splits HERE.
Note: If doing each row individually, you will use less thread as you work up to the top of the tree. If doing it with splits you will need a bit more thread on the needle as you will be using the needle thread to make the splits with.
