Candy Cane Valentines

Need to use up those post-holiday candy canes?
Here’s sweet idea to turn them into Valentine cards.

Supplies:
  • Candy Canes
  • Red Construction Paper
  • Tissue paper, Foil, Doilies, etc.
  • Scissors
  • Non-toxic white glue
  • Markers

Directions:

  1. Turn the red construction paper into a card by folding a crisp center fold.

  2. Select colorful, decorative papers for the background on your card. Cut to the desired size and glue to the front of the card.

  3. Glue two candy canes in the center, facing each other to form a heart.

  4. Add a message to the front and/or inside of the card.

  5. Give to someone you love.

HINT:
Experiment with different types and colors of papers to make varied valentines.
Assemble all the parts of the card to see how it looks before you start to glue it in place.
