St. Nicholas Boots
Created by Miss Kathy

St. Nicholas is the patron saint of children! In many countries across Europe St. Nicholas day (December 6th), and not Christmas,  is the main gift giving day. Children place polished boots on their windowsills or their shoes  in front of the fireplace in hopes that St. Nicholas will enter and leave a special gift inside them.

Materials Needed:
  • large white sock
  • two toilet paper tubes
  • fabric markers, glitter glue, beads, yarn, etc.
1. Decorate the sock with fabric markers, glitter glue, bead, yarn or whatever else your heart desires.

2. Place one toilet paper tube in the foot of the sock and the other at the neck so that the sock remains open.

3. Display the boot on a windowsill or fireplace mantel!
