Christmas Ball Wreath

In Australia it is a Christmas Custom to hang a wreath in your home.  Australians are also fond of bright colored Christmas Balls, so adding these to your wreath can give you a little of an Australian Christmas here in America.  This easy to make wreath can be made to hang in your home or to give to a loved one. 
Materials needed:
  • Colored Construction Paper
  • Scissors
  • White Glue 
  • Pattern or circular objects to trace 2-4 inch circles
  • Pen or pencil
  • Paper Plate
Directions:   
1. Make a several 2-4 inch circle patterns, or find cups, bowls, ect. to trace a circle from.
Assorted Christmas Balls.
2. Trace about 20 circles of different sizes on your multi-colored construction paper.
3. Cut out the circles you traced on the colored construction paper.

Cut out as many small squares, approximately 1/4 inch as you have circles

5. Glue the square to the ball to make it look like a Christmas Ornament, let it dry.

Get out a paper plate. 

 

7.  Cut the center out of the plate.
8. 

Put glue around the outside of your plate.

9.  Arrange your Christmas Balls around as desired, start with the larger and then fill in
10.  Let dry.
11. 

Turn your wreath over and glue a  piece of string, paper clip,etc to the wreath for hanging.

 

This is your wreath.
