Christmas Goodie Cans

The six Christmas goodie cans were made with the materials listed below. Look at each sample's photograph and choose colors and supplies accordingly. You may click on the picture of the individual cans for the necessary patterns. Print out the patterns and trace around. Then cut them out with the color of construction paper shown. Lines of detail were added with the black or red markers. To add a glisten to the eyes, simply apply a dot of whiteout.

Materials needed:
  • Empty potato chip canisters
  • Construction paper - red, white, peach, black, green, brown, tan, medium brown, yellow, pink, hot pink and blue
  • Tacky white glue
  • Glue stick
  • Black marker
  • Red marker
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Pinking shears or fancy edged scissors (Can-ada Spruce and Canta Claus)
Materials:
  • Cotton balls
  • Plaid ribbon
  • Stick-on bows for tops
  • Star stickers (Can-ada Spruce, eyes & nose)
  • Jumbo white rick rack (Gingerbread Can & Canta Claus' Hair)
  • Orange pipe cleaner (Salty's nose)
  • Buttons (Salty's mouth and Gingerbread's Tie)
  • Whiteout or liquid paper
