Supplies:

    License plate patterns click here
    Cardboard, 3 3/4" x 8 1/4"
    Glue or glue stick
    Scissors
    Colored pencils
    Markers
    Pencil Stencil (optional)

Directions:
  1. Print out the license plate pattern and cut out. Also cut out the County that you want to use and the month and year.
  2. Glue the license plate onto the piece of cardboard. Now glue on the County and the month and year. If the County you live in is not available, simply letter your County=s abbreviation in.
  3. The colors used for the sample Kansas license plate was yellow and blue colored pencils. However, you may use any color you like.
  4. Now with a stencil or you may letter it freehand, pencil in your name or anything else you would like to put. You may use seven letters or less. The possibilities are endless. Try to think up some creative slogans of your own. The samples show a name and the slogan BKSRGR8 which translates to "Books Are Great". Color the letters in with marker.
