March In Like A Lion
Created
by Miss Susan
Make the craft, and take a digital image.
If you have trouble with the images, ask for help! Instructions:
2.
Tear pieces of
tissue paper into about 1-2 inch pieces. A variety of shapes is
fine. 3.
Dip the paper
lightly into the glue mixture and lay it flat on the paper plate. 4.
Continue to do this
until your entire plate is covered. 5.
Let dry. 6.
When Lion is mostly
dry you can start on your decorations. Be creative, you can draw,
paint
or cut and paste with construction paper his facial features. 7.
You can then add
hair to your lion. This can be done with marker, cut paper or
yarn or
ribbon. 8.
If you would like
to hang your lion up, save a piece of yarn for the back. Glue or
tape one
end, make a loop with the yarn and glue or tape the other end down next
to the
first. Let dry and your Lion is ready to welcome the month of
March in.
Materials
needed:
1. Mix 2/3 amount of glue to 1/3 amount of water in a cup or
bowl. Blend
(I used brown, but yellow or orange would work well also.)
(Drying could take quite a while depending on the amount of glue
used. To
hurry your craft along you could blow it dry using a hair dryer.)
