Heroic Fantasy, Dark Fantasy, Sword and Sorcery, Blood and Thunder, and Sword and Sandal are all names used to describe a certain type of Adventure Fantasy. Why do I call this site "Heroes of Dark Fantasy"? Well to me, Dark Fantasy has always been Epic Fantasy seasoned with equal amounts of horror and the protagonist's own self-interest. All of the adventurers on this site are cut from the "hero" mold (able to rise above adversity). Their stories promise cardiac adventure in derring-do and wizardry taking place in forgotten lands of wonder and terror. From the Dawn of Man to the end of a World Age, the sites below will bring back a feeling of when the world was young. Welcome back to the days of High Adventure!

Hey, this is new to Heroes of Dark Fantasy.
