James GabbertHe's not just a local legend, he's one of the great pioneers of broadcasting's modern era. From humble beginnings as co-founder of KPEN, which he helped grown into powerhouse K-101, James Gabbert has been station owner (KIOI, KIQI, KOFY AM-FM-TV and KDIA), engineer, innovator and announcer — and those are just a few of the many hats he's worn over the years.
