This is the eagerly awaited follow up single to the hugely successful Low, which spent three weeks at No.1 earlier this year.  Flo Rida teams up with the hottest producer at the moment – Timbaland, for Elevator.  Both of Flo Rida’s singles are lifted from his debut album Mail On Sunday (No.24 Apr. ’08).  The talented rapper has been featured on other artist albums including Trick Daddy, Trina and DJ Khaled.

She is a pint sized singer, but her celebratory status just keeps growing! Star of Disney Channel’s – Hannah Montana, Cyrus was born the same year her father, Billy Ray Cyrus released his biggest hit – Achy Breaky Heart (No.1 Sep. ’92).  See You Again is the second single for the 15 year old to chart within the ARIA Top 100 singles, it follows Start All Over (No.58 Apr. ’08).  Cyrus has also had a another single release under her alter ego persona – Hannah Montana chart, Nobody’s Perfect reached No.87 in January 2008.

After a four year hiatus from the ARIA Singles Chart, Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shay Hayley who are N.E.R.D. are back with this brand spanking new track and album – Seeing Sound, is just around the corner.  N.E.R.D. stands for No One Ever Really Dies and Pharrell Williams has been quoted saying “N.E.R.D. is what we do. Born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. the 25 year old rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana goes by his stage name Lil Wayne.  Making his debut to the ARIA Singles Chart this week with Lollipop, Lil Wayne has already struck gold in the USA, topping their chart for the last three consecutive weeks.  The single features Static Major, who very unfortunately passed away two weeks before the release.  Lil Wayne will also be dabbling into a bit of acting, starring along side veteran actor Forrest Whitaker in a basketball drama – Hurricane Season.

Having made their debut last week with Great DJ, which is sitting at No.72 this week, The Ting Tings hit the chart again this week with That’s Not My Name.  The new track has already topped the UK Singles Chart last month, knocking off Madonna’s 4 Minutes (No.1 Apr. ’08) from the top spot, but only to be replaced by Rihanna’s Take A Bow (No.5 June ’08) the following week.

Fallen past Australian Idol contestant, Lisa Mitchell releases the follow-up to last year’s Said One To The Other EP.  Mitchell’s first offering debuted and peaked at No.27 in August last year.   The 18 year old from Albury, was placed sixth in Australian Idol in 2006 and cites Missy Higgins and Clare Bowditch as influences to her music.

American R&B superstar, Usher has returned with part two of this week’s No.9, Love In This Club.  The next installment of the track features the talents of Beyonce and Lil Wayne. Previous hits from Usher include Confessions Part II (No.5 Sep. ’04), You Make Me Wanna (No.6 Apr. ’98) and U Remind Me (No.4 Aug. ’01).

USA diva Kelly Rowland teamed up with the front man of the Indie hip-hop band Gym Class Heroes, Travis McCoy and recorded the single Daylight for the soundtrack of a French film Asterix at the Olympic Games. Following the success of Rowland’s recently released album Ms Kelly, Daylight has peaked at No.14 on the UK Singles Chart.  Other popular singles from the album include Work (No.6 Mar. ’08) and Like This (No.13 June ’07).

Swedish death metal band Opeth has released their ninth studio album Watershed. The killer album hit the UK Charts at No.34 in May 2008 and the European Charts at No.14 in 2008. The bands previous album Ghost Reveries peaked at No.35 in September 2005. The five piece band quotes “Watershed picks up where 2005’s flawless Ghost Reveries left off”.

Radiohead has given their fans something to be excited about…The English alternative rock band has just released The Best Of, Radiohead, comprising of the bands charting hits and commercially successful singles. After the worldwide success of Radiohead’s first single Creep (No.6 Dec. ’93) and their debut album Pablo Honey (No.86 Feb. ‘94), the band has tossed and turned throughout the years to create new sounds and keep their fans entertained.  Already the album has made its mark internationally, hitting No. 4 on the UK Charts recently.

Touring with today’s jazz maestro, Michael Buble has proven to be a successful move for the American acapella group, Naturally 7. The group containing seven vocalists Garfield Buckley, Rod Eldridge, Warren Thomas, Jamal Reed, Roger Thomas, Dwight Stewart, and Armand "Hops" Hutton, make their debut to the ARIA Albums Chart with Ready II Fly and they also make another debut appearance further down along the chart this week. 

Sparkadia are a Sydney band that is made up of Alex Burnett (lead vocals and guitar), Dave Hall (drums), Rabone Hogan (bass and vocals) and Josephine Ayling (guitar, keys and vocals). This is their debut album behind the release of the first two singles from the album; Things Behind The Sun and Too Much To Do. Their music has taken them to the UK already – where the album was recorded. They are about to embark on an international tour with several Australian dates included.

The boys in Trial Kennedy all went to high school together and shared the same guitar teacher – Mark Kennedy. When he got them all together to have a jam session one day, the boys decided to start a band and as they had ‘trials’ or practices with Mark and they decided to call it Trial Kennedy. The band consists of Tim Morrison (vocals), Stacey Gray (guitar), Aaron Malcolmson (bass) and Shaun Gionis (drums) and New Manic Art is their debut to the ARIA Albums Chart.

This is Naturally 7’s second album. This is the second time this week that Naturally 7 have entered the Top 100 of the ARIA Albums Chart! The seven New York men create all of the sounds you can hear using just their voices, and when explaining what they were doing to friends and families, they found most would respond asking “What is it you’re doing?” In response to this question the acapella group created a song which became the title to this album – “What Is It?”

Sayer’s new album is full of his previous hits that he has reworked into a jazz form. McCartney’s new album is in a completely different style to what his previous two albums - Beautiful Soul (No.5 Apr. ’05) which was accredited platinum and Right Where You Want Me (No.49 Sep. ’06) were he has deliberately turned towards the R&B genre. In his own words, "I'm going for Prince chord changes, Michael (Jackson) melodies, and the bigness of Madonna - fun '80s stuff. That's the best that I can put it". Eco-conscious fans will be pleased to know that his new album is made out of 100% recycled material and vegetable based inks.
