Professor Dennis Tsichritzis is President of Fraunhofer USA, Inc.  He is responsible for expanding and developing Fraunhofer USA Centers.

Prof. Tsichritzis has had a distinguished career in research and research management, recently retiring from Fraunhofer Gesellschaft as Vice President.

Before joining Fraunhofer Gesellschaft in 2001, he was President of GMD - Forschungszentrum Informationstechnik GmbH.  Prior experience included: Professor of Computer Science at the University of Geneva, Director of the "Centre Universitaire d'Informatique" at that University, Founder of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Crete and of the Institute for Computer Science at the Crete Research Center, and Professor of Computer Science at the University of Toronto.

Professor Tsichritzis received his Diploma in Electrical Engineering, from the National Technical University of Athens, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Princeton University.

He is a member of numerous national and international scientific bodies.
