Hawaii's most watched television newscaster anchors nightly Hawaii's World Report at 5:30pm, as well as Hawaii at Six and Hawaii at Ten.

Joe has been a familiar face on Hawaii television since 1969, when he returned to the islands following two tours of duty in Vietnam as an Army journalist with the 25th Infantry Divison and a newscaster with the American Forces Vietnam Network in Saigon.

Joe attended Aiea High School for three years as a member of the Class of 1965. Before enlisting in the Army to serve in Vietnam, he attended the University of Maryland for two years, majoring in communications and history.

Joe has written and starred in a wide variety of plays, performed as fundraisers for local nonprofit organizations, including Manoa Valley Theatre, Diamond Head Theatre, the University of Hawaii Theatre Department, Aloha United Way and the Pacific Foundation for Cancer Research.

He has also acted in a number of island-based TV series, including Hawaii Five-O, Magnum P.I., Jake and the Fatman, Tour of Duty and One West Waikiki.
