What is Operation Rice Bowl?

Operation Rice Bowl is Catholic Relief Services' Lenten solidarity program. The program is being used by millions of Catholics in all 50 states throughout the United States, in more than 15,000 parishes, schools, and faith communities. Through Operation Rice Bowl, we reach out to assist our brothers and sisters around the world through traditional Lenten practices, by offering our prayers, by fasting, and by giving alms, while we learn about the global issues affecting our neighbors overseas.

If you would like to learn more about the program, or wish to place an order for the 2008 Lenten program, contact Kathy Shine in the Office of Catholic Social Action at 414-758-2285 or via e-mail at shinek@archmil.org.
