RANDOM NOTE:
WHILE "HOT STREAK" LASTED A SHORT 65 EPISODES IN THE USA, IT'S BEEN A HIT FOR 12 YEARS IN GERMANY!

It's now time for "Bruce Forsyth's Hot Streak!" This show wanted to be on television so badly, only to be cut off so shortly! With at least 4 different pilot epsodes being shot up to 3 years before its debut, this unique combination of "Password", "Pyramid" and "Go!" deserved a much longer run than a meesly 65 episodes. And here, you will learn exactly why!

This was Bruce Forsyth's first and last game show in the United States. While in the UK, he has hosted versions of Card Sharks and The Price Is Right, both which were very popular. When you watch Bruce on the TV, you witness a one-of-a-kind blend of humour, quick wit, and entertainment. He was one of those comics that most people could very easily relate to, the kind you wouldn't want over for dinner, unless you want it how it is!

However, as much of a failure as this show was in the US, it opened the gates for a wide array of revivals all over the world. With versions of the show airing in Australia, Belgium, Greece and France, the show in itself wasn't as a flop as we could make it out to be. In fact, the German version of the show, "Ruck Zuck", has been on the air since 1988, and to this day, is still one of the biggest hits and longest running of German game shows!

This is one of those game shows that I would recommend anyone try to get a hold of someday. Because it is one of those shows that everyone seems to like, each for different reasons. Hopefully, someone will obtain the Reg Grundy library again someday, and we will get to see the entire series from start to finish. (As many as 10 episodes have been reported to be saved and intact by game show traders and collectors, leaving 55 left!)

Here, you will read about the various pilot episodes, including the 1983 pilot "Party Line" with Gene Rayburn, the rules of the game, some of the humorous responces that are unrehearsed and simply a classic in their own terms, and a picture archive, including snaps from the foreign runs!
