RANDOM NOTE:
REMOTE CONTROL WAS REVIVED IN 1990 AS A GAME SHOW FOR ADULTS UNDER "COUCH POTATOES"

Yes, everyone, finally, the "Remote Control" section of SuperShow 8000 has returned! It had seemed that this show had been very much abandoned on the pages, with no updates in ages, and even being offline totally for a while. But now, after the long hiatus, the pages are now back, and in my eyes better then they ever were. Please read on to learn more!

Wheather you were a teenager in the eighties or a little older or younger, chances are you remember watching this, or remember watching someone watching this. (In my case, I remember watching my brother watch this show all the time). This game show of television trivia in a laid back, uncramped format was appealing to most teens of the 1980s. So much so that it aired on "the" channel of the 1980s: Music Television (MTV). This was MTV's first, and most popular attempt of a game show, and is still today remembered. (And let's not forget Adam Sandler's appearances!)

This show was popular for a wide array of reasons. The "coolness" of the unique set for one. Many people remember having the edible food falling on everyones head in the middle of the show, known as the "Snack Break" time. Or perhaps it was when the player in last place went "Off-The-Air". Could it have been the music video bonus rounds? It could have been it all!

On the newly revived pages, you will read the rules of this unique game show. You'll also see snaps of the various snacks you could get for free, as well as the various ways you were told to get off the air. You'll also learn more about the home versions of the game (including the board game and the NES cart), as well as read about "Couch Potatoes", a short lived revival of the show hosted by Marc Summers, that was for adults!
