If
ever you spent half an hour of reading a guide-book
on Fogo, you must know Renate. She arrived on the
island a few years ago and runs "le Bistro", where
her guests have breakfast in the morning. Later the
day it transforms into a restaurant, tea-house, snack
bar, travel agency, tourist information, meetingpoint
for island-hoppers while for a few days on the island.
Above the inner
court, the apartment is located. It has one spacy
bedroom, a living room, private shower/WC and a
little kitchen. For people staying for a few nights
only, the kitchen does not give much sense, but
nevertheless it is good to have a normal-size fridge.
The very assets
of the appartment are those cosy shady corners
on the balconies and the huge terrace with its
view over the historical town and the sea to the
island of Brava.
As Renate runs
her own little travel-agency she is happy to help
you to organize your excursions by taxi or with
a rented car - including the adventure of climbing
the "pico" of the volcano.
Prices for
this apartment are not higher than for double-rooms
in Sao Filipe and you are welcome to stay for shorter
periods as well.
