Mark Block - President
Mark Block's career as a sports agent started in June of 1993 when he was hired by Flynn Sports Management (FSM). He served as the company vice-president until he departed in October of 2003 to start Total Sports Management.

Mark was responsible for dreaming up the idea for the heralded one to one match race between Donovan Bailey and Michael Johnson, the biggest pay day in track and field history. He's recognized by his peers as a great deal-maker and negotiator. Mark put together what is today the best shoe contract in history for any track and field athlete coming out of college. He is known for having a great eye for talent and a strong work ethic. Mark has developed a great relationship with many of the top individuals in the industry, which gives him the ability to open doors, and give up and coming athletes the chance to develop, while maximizing deals for his clients at the top. Mark is known for his loyalty to clients through the good times and bad. Today, he continues to do work for Olympic Champion Donovan Bailey, and thus far in 2008 has completed three deals for Bailey consisting of two marketing and one broadcasting agreement. This is 14 years after their business relationship was formed.

During his tenure at FSM, Mark was responsible for bringing on board Bailey, Deon Hemmings, Bruny Surin, Savatheda Fynes, Glenroy Gilbert, Debbie Ferguson, and Kim Graham.

Before FSM, Mark coached for four years as an assistant and recruting coordinator Clemson University. During this time, the track and field program won seven ACC titles and twice placed second at the NCAA Championships.

Prior to Clemson, he served as assistant track coach at East Tennessee State University, as well as assistant director of the Kodak Invitational, which at the time was the largest indoor meet in the world. Before East Tennessee State, he served one year at The University of California at Berkeley as director of home events for the women's athletic department.

Mark received his BS in Sports Management from Old Dominion University in 1987 and an M.Ed from East Tennessee State in 1989.

Chris Layne - Director of Communications
Chris Layne's career in the sport management industry started as an intern for Flynn Sports Management (FSM) in the Fall of 1997. After completing his internship, Layne was hired full-time by FSM in May of 1998.

While at FSM, Chris served as the Director of Marketing. In addition to his marketing responsibilities, he assisted in all aspects of the companies day to day functions. He secured client sponsorship deals with Visa, Lenscrafters, MTV, Adidas, Nike, Asics, Reebok, New Balance, Power Bar, and Wheaties. In addition, he landed athletes in Sports Illustrated, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Maxim, Glamour, Forbes, People, and Newsweek, and organized television appearances on the Tonight Show, Discovery Channel, Good Morning America, Regis and Kathy Lee, and the Today Show.

Chris also has extensive experience dealing with some of the top speakers bureaus in the world. He worked closely with Olympian Marla Runyan as she completed her book project MY LIFE AS I SEE IT.

Before joining FSM, Chris served as the sprint coach at East Tennessee State University. While at East Tennessee State University, the men's team won it's first conference title in 18 years, and his athletes earned numerous individual conference titles. Since then, Chris has continued his love for coaching as the head coach at Milligan College. His athletes have accumulated over 100 individual national championship berths, 14 all-american honors, and numerous conference and regional titles.

Chris competed athletically at Middle Tennessee State University where he received a psychology degree in 1995.

Anna Bordyugova- Director of Ukrainian Operations
Anna Bordyugova joined Total Sports in September 2005 as the Director of Ukrainian Operations. She received a law degree in from the Kiev Academy of Municipal Management in June 2004. She has been working as a Barrister since her graduation and has recently joined the legal department at the Ukrainian Football Federation. The former member of the Ukrainian National Team in the 400 meter hurdles decided to join Total Sports so that she can use both her educational experience and love of sport of athletics to assist athletes in getting the most out of their careers. Bordyuguova has been around sport her entire life as both of her parents where also top level athletes. She'll handle all the day to day operations in Ukraine which includes communication with athletes, marketing, recruitment of future clients, assisting in the competition planning of the athletes, assisting athletes with the visa process, and organizing travel.

Dr. Scappaticci graduated from CMCC in 92 and completed his Fellowship in Chiropractic Sport Sciences in 95. He has his Level I Chiropractic Rehab Specialty. He completed his Medical Acupuncture Certification in 96 after receiving his diploma of Acupuncture from Sri Lanka in 92.

He currently is an Instructor of the McMaster Medical Acupuncture program. He has helped deve lop a system of managing sports injuries called Functional Integrated Therapy, and is the co-director of the Functional Integrated Therapy sports program at McMasterUniversity. He completed all Levels of Active Release Techniques in 1996, and has been a Lead Instructor for more than Four years. He is certified in Graston Methods as well as being a Certified Kinesio-taping practitioner. He has been working with Olympic and world-class track and field athletes from several nations since 96', and has played a role in the last 3 summer Olympics and last 2 winter Olympic games. In addition, he's attended ndoor and outdoor track and field World Championships since 97'.

Scappaticci also consults with the Canadian National Squash team and has attended a number of World Championship competitions. He is on staff with the Toronto Blue Jays and consults with teams and athletes in the NHL, NFL, NBA, and MLB.

He practices in Niagara Falls, Ontario as well as Toronto, Ontario. His clinics have been designated as Elite ART Provider Centers.

Robert Chapman spent nine years as the Head Men's Cross Country / Asst Track Coach at Indiana University from 1998 to 2007. During that time, he coached three national champions and 18 All-Americans in the men's distance events. Most notably, he coached Tom Chorny to the USATF National Championship and the World Championships team in 2001 in the 3000m steeplechase, as well as twins Sean and John Jefferson to multiple national championships and national runners-up from 2002 to 2005. Robert also served as meet director for all home meets at Indiana University's world-class facilities.

Currently, he coaches Brooks Team Indiana Elite, a post-collegiate group based in Bloomington, Indiana. The group features 12 athletes who have met the 2008 US Olympic Trials qualifying standards in events from 800m to 10,000m. Additionally, Robert serves USA Track and Field as the men's 5000m event chair for the Men's Development Committee. In 1996, he earned a PhD in Exercise Physiology from Indiana University, where he also holds a faculty position in the Department of Kinesiology.
