Books and Periodicals

There's a wonderful book called "How to Draw the Powerpuff Girls Mini" by Walter Foster.   It contains instructions and tips on how to draw many of the characters.  Amazingly, there's a section on the RRBs.  BlossomBoi sent me a scan of it.  Click it to enlarge:

Pocketowl sent me these scans of the boys from the PowerPuff Powerzine:

Pocketowl also tipped me off about this book:

It's the RowdyRuff Boys story with a bunch of tattoos included.  Sorry, no RRB tattoos.  You can order it online from Amazon.com.  The ISBN is 0439160162.

MeowMix made a few scans.  Click to enlarge:

Sean E. Phillips (the author of the editorial "The RowdyRuff Boys: Jar Jar Binks in Reverse") found this reader feedback in issue #23 of The PowerPuff Girls, published by Cartoon Network and DC comics.  Take a look:

Based on the response, we find out two things: first, there are no plans in the works for a RRB comic.  Two, DC Comics has hired one of the Spice Girls to do the menial task of responding to reader comments.  Ah well, it beats being homeless.  Good for you, Gerri!  The exciting thing (to me) is that there's at least one other person in the universe who things that a RRB are "awesome."  Score one for me.  Yay.

PPG Katelyn Sent me this page from a PPG activity book.  It's a lame game featuring the PPGs and RRBs.  Take a look:

I think you're supposed to role a die and whoever reaches the Capitol building first becomes President...or something like that.  Maybe there was a spinner instead of a die.  Then again, maybe that's a library in the background and it had something to do with overdue books.  Perhaps the entire building was being stolen by aliens and both teams had to race up giant ladders...though, that doesn't explain why Boomer is holding onto his ladder by his hair. Could be a super power that didn't come up in the RRB episode.  Quite frankly, I could care less.

Update: Tony Phillips sent me the "rules" page.  It ends up that this really isn't a "game" per se.  It always ends up with the PPGs winning by one.  Click here for the rules.

Tony Philips sent me two other pages that mention the boys.  Click here for one, and click here for the other.
