Kosrae
International, Micronesia (KSA) |
JON MAJ KWA KSA PNI TKK |
These
photos were taken on Saturday November 28, 1998. Approaching Kosrae (KSA) is absolutely beautiful. Here is the first sighting of the island First sight of the runway Here you can get a full view of the runway We passed the runway on the downwind leg before turning for the final approach Almost at the final approach point Just starting the base leg of the landing pattern On landing at KSA, we used the runway as a taxiway. Note the Fire Truck in the center of the runway A view of the beautiful landscape as we headed towards to the main terminal on the runway/ taxiway First sight of the terminal. It was quite a windy day in KSA Look at that picturesque backdrop! The ramp is getting us into position. There are no jetways on any of these islands The main terminal. At certain times and position, the mountains in the backdrop looks like a sleeping lady I love the Flight Information Displays (FIDS) in these islands. This one was sitting in the departure area across from the check-in area. The departure gate is to the left of this sign The check-in counter Just in case it rains. These are very important on the islands. Since there are no jetway, these umbrellas enure that the passengers remain dry. As you will see in Pohnpei, they came in handy Onto to the next island, Pohnpei, Micronesia |
