Report from Sulphur Springs
We had high hopes for a large turnout for our first Marijuana March 2005. Due to the police having pulled over some fellow marchers and had them detained for over 45 minutes, so all of the people expected to show up seen the cops and they thought best not to stop, worring they might also get harassed. DJ and I were the first ones to show up but I (Daniel) had to go to work shortly after.The turnout wasn't what we all hoped for, but it was our first march and didn't have the correct documentation to even have this march.Daniel "I" was the one that ordered the fliers and DJ used his address to have them sent to. We both "Daniel & DJ" are the founders of the 1st annual Marijuana March of 2005.
All in all around 50 people showed up (1 officer-name withheld-asked if he could have one of our fliers to take home and put with the rest of his paraphernalia.) and we all had some shits and giggles and marched for our cause. By the end of the day we wound up with a few good friends and family out at the park having fun and "smoking in support of our cause".
