- Lots of interesting Coachella news: The three-day event, which will take place April 27-29, has already sold out. The Empire Polo fields, where Coachella takes place, was potentially going to be sold off for a housing development, but the festival’s commitment to the park was enough to delay the invasion of pastel faux-Spanish colonials. And finally, cars carrying four or more people will receive better access both to parking and to the event itself. “It’s crazy it took us eight years to think of that one,” a festival organizer reportedly said. “But less cars going to a show is always good.” Nice.
- NIN fans are going bonkers trying to keep track of all the clues supposedly being left re: the “bizarre marketing campaign” behind the band’s new album Year Zero, out in April. According to this post, “so much is happening so quickly that your best bet is to keep an eye on the Year Zero forum on ETS, similar threads on the Spiral, and the NIN Wiki.” On it.
- Aerosmith are trying to find time to record a new album, bassistTom Hamilton claims, but it’s hard. “We’ve got a busy year coming up. After the European tour…we take a short break and then go back into the studio,” Hamilton reportedly wrote. “We haven’t done a new album in a while, and we really feel enthusiastic about showing everybody what’s on our musical mind.”
- The Hold Steady are reportedly jumping on the Bonnaroo bandwagon and joining the already insanely awesome lineup. Nice.
