The University of NSW, as an extension to lahznimmo’s recent work at the Main Library commissioned lahznimmo to design the Eora Exchange Student Lounge. The Exchange’s primary function is to provide undergraduate students with a place they can go to between lectures - in other words a common room or base camp for their days’ activities on Campus. The Exchange is located on the middle campus in amongst existng retail and food outlets. The space has media booths, lounge areas’ group study rooms with multi media and is used for recreation as well as
study.
The Exchange was opened at the beginning of this year and has been a great success. Based on its success the University is hoping to replicate this type of space in hubs across the campus.
