MiniSCSI EPP model supports up to 1MB/sec. when used with Enhanced Parallel Port
OVERVIEW
The MiniSCSI adapters provide simple, quick and inexpensive connection of SCSI devices. Perfect for notebook or desktop computers
which lack expansion slots, these MiniSCSI adapters support up to seven SCSI devices including any combination of CD-ROM drives,
hard disk drives, DAT and tape drives - without giving up your printer port. And you can choose between one of two parallel-to-SCSI
adapters, the MiniSCSI Plus, and for higher performance, MiniSCSI EPP.
MiniSCSI Plus - APA-348
The MiniSCSI Plus is an inexpensive adapter that offers an easy-to-use solution for SCSI connectivity. It incorporates a 3-foot cable
and supports unidirectional and bi-directional ports. The MiniSCSI Plus operates at data transfer rates of up to 260 KB/sec.
MiniSCSI EPP - APA-358
The MiniSCSI EPP parallel-to-SCSI adapter delivers increased performance when used with computers that support Enhanced Parallel
Port. The EPP design provides parallel port performance comparable to the traditional ISA expansion bus - over three times faster
than traditional parallel ports.
The MiniSCSI EPP adapter supports data transfer rates of up to 1 MB/sec., and is compatible with conventional unidirectional and
bi-directional ports.
KEY BENEFITS
Complete software
Our SCSIworks! software is an easy-to-install software package that includes DOS/Windows and OS/2® drivers to support
hard disk, magneto-optical, Floptical®, SyQuest®, Bernoulli®, tape and DAT drives, scanners and CD-ROM drives
(including single and multi-session Kodak® Photo CD). In addition, SCSIworks! software includes applications such as Magic
Lantern for viewing photo CDs, TapeMate II for backup and Music Box® for CD audio playback. Quick and easy
installation
With MiniSCSI adapters you can be up and running within minutes. Follow these four simple steps:
-
Plug in the MiniSCSI adapter cable to your computer's parallel (printer) port
-
Connect the other end to the SCSI device
-
If you have a printer, connect the printer cable to the pass through printer port
-
Run the easy-to-install software
A wide range of applications
-
Portable tape backup

* Some Bernoulli models do not include termination power, and therefore will not work with MiniSCSI adapters unless modified or
daisy-chained with other SCSI devices which provide termination power.
