Families can now see and hear each other over their PCs
Intel Video Phone with ProShare® Technology

If you have kids away at college, grandparents in a distant city or close friends in another state, you may have wished that you could not only "talk" to them, but "see" them also.

Intel is now delivering technology that will allow you to place a video phone call over standard telephone lines from your home PC. Called the Intel Video Phone, it utilizes the same Intel ProShare Technology that has made Intel a leader in videoconferencing for the business market.

This new capability will be available in new Pentium® processor 133 MHz and higher personal computers. The video phone will be available in two versions: a receive only version that works without a camera or video capture card on a 28.8 video phone-ready modem, and a send/receive version that requires a camera and a video capture card in addition to the modem. Major computer companies will be including the Intel Video Phone at the latter half of this year.
