NetportExpress(TM) PRO Print Servers
The easiest way to take control of your network printing
|
External print server offers one serial and two parallel ports for connecting multiple printers.
|
|
New internal unit allows more options for locating printers anywhere on your network.
|
Intel NetportExpress(TM) PRO print servers make it easy to add, use and maintain printers anywhere on your network. Now available in both compact external and new internal versions, NetportExpress PRO print servers connect printers directly to the network - you're not limited by file server locations. You can even share printing services on the 100Mbps segments of your network by adding an Intel Express 10/100 Downlink.
One easy-to-use management tool
Included with NetportExpress PRO print servers is Netport(R) Manager, a Windows*-based centralized management utility. Netport Manager makes installation, configuration and management a snap for both internal and external servers.
Integrates with enterprise management consoles - Snaps into Intel LANDesk(R) Management Suite, ManageWise* and NMS.* Netport Manager proactively sends alerts to these popular management consoles. Also supports SNMP for access via any enterprise-wide SNMP-based management console.
Bi-directional communication - Supports industry protocols for bi-directional network printer communications, proactively providing administrators with critical information about their networked printers.
Centralized management by domains - Allows print servers to be arranged in easy-to-define domains or logical groupings to simplify management tasks. Print servers can be monitored and controlled from any networked PC.
Native multi-protocol support
NetportExpress PRO print servers natively support all popular network operating systems and protocols on all ports simultaneously. You can use these print servers in a Windows NT* environment across either IP or NetBEUI, in a pure UNIX* environment or with NetWare* NDS. (See chart for complete details on protocol and NOS support.)
