RAM Research is an independent banking research organization that monitors, publishes and publicizes information pertaining to bank credit cards. The firm has evolved to become the nation's premier source of comparative credit card data for consume rs and a credible source of statistical data for credit card executives. More than one million consumers have reviewed RAM's information and more than 5,000 card executives have accessed RAM's industry research.

RAM Research was created in 1986. In 1994 the company was split into four entities: CardTrak of America, Inc. (publishers of consumer related bank credit card material including the monthly newsletter CardTrak); Card Management Information Corpo ration (producers of industry research reports including Bankcard Barometer and Bankcard Update); CardSearch International Ltd (providers of card marketing opportunities via the Internet and producers of CardFlash, a daily industry briefing) and McKinley & Company (a general consulting concern).

RAM Research is headquartered in the historic district of Frederick, Maryland U.S.A..

HIGHLIGHTS

* In 1992, RAM provided compelling expert testimony in a major anti-trust trial involving VISA and Discover. RAM's testimony focused on the past and present price competition within the industry. Testifying on behalf of VISA as an impartial, unpaid expert , the case ultimately ended in VISA's favor via the U.S. Supreme Court.

* In 1993, RAM extensively assisted the U.S. General Accounting Office in the preparation of a report on the industry's competitiveness. The final report was released in early 1994.

* In 1995, RAM established a site on the Internet's World Wide Web and will officially launch the service September 11, 1995 in New York City at the American Bankers Association National Bankcard Conference.
