This person will be responsible for managing a group of product management professionals
in charge of defining and driving the delivery of world-class Scopus foundation products,
including ScopusWorks, WebTEAM, WorldTEAM, etc.
Specific duties will range from staffing and managing a world-class product management
team to driving Scopus' tools and Web product direction through sales phase.
We require a minimum of two years management experience, as well as 5 years product
management/marketing experience. Additionally this position requires the ability to recruit
and retain management talent, direct experience with customer information system, and
experience with direct sales organizations.
Excellent technical skills, particularly with RDBMS, user interface engineering, MS
Windows, WWW and UNIX is preferred

Services Marketing Manager
|
Under limited supervision, responsible for creating, launching, directing, business analysis
and communicating Worldwide marketing programs, pricing and policies for Scopus
services products (maintenance agreements, consulting services, training services and other
such offerings as may be developed). Responsible as the primary contact within Scopus to
the Scopus User Group to coordinate support for and drive annual user conference and other
activities as needed. Works closely with Corporate Marketing Group, and Sales organization
to ensure services strategy is aligned with company strategy in all areas, including channels
and partners arena. Also responsible for providing competitive analysis and gathering of
customer requirements to recommend pricing and programs to ensure a competitive edge for

Requires Bachelors degree and 5 years experience in service marketing or 10 years of related

The Media Relations Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong
relationships with editors and reporters in the trade media; placing product stories in key

Additionally, candidates will have a bias for aggressive story placement, strong relationship-
building skills, independence and a grounding in software technology. Requires BS degree

|
Sr. Product Managers for Scopus Call Center Products will develop vertical markets in
Financial Services, Telecommunications and Service Bureaus through creating and driving
product direction, market programs, design partners and early adopter customers, market

sales and engineering, revenue forecasts, pricing & packaging, product launch plans,
competitive analyses, sales training and sales support. Reports to VP, Marketing.
Requires extensive product management/product marketing experience in the Financial
Services, Telecommunications or Service Bureau industries, with call center experience
especially applicable.
Prefer experience with commercial application software products in a direct sales
environment Also desirable are an MBA and familiarity with client server software,
Windows, WWW, OO programming concepts and RDBMS concepts.

TeleSales Representative
|
Responsible for revenue generation activities within a specific Scopus territory. Duties will
include following up on leads qualified by the TeleMarketing organization; determining the
correct Scopus channel (including TeleSales) to handle each revenue opportunity; working
independently whenever possible to produce incremental revenue by handling opportunities
from inception to closure; acting as lead sales representative for all TeleSales-oriented
revenue generation campaigns; working opportunities jointly with Field Sales, maximizing
Scopus revenue generation by handling as many revenue-related activities as possible over

nurturing accounts until they are ready to work with a Scopus Sales Representative; Target

A Sales Engineer works closely with an assigned Regional Sales Manager to provide
technical support throughout the sales cycle by mapping Scopus products to customer needs,
performing demos, architecture reviews and sharing product vision and technology. Requires
customer experience, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a high degree of
expertise with UNIX, NT, RDBMS (Oracle, Sybase, Informix, SQL Server), as well as SQL
and shell scripting programming ability. Requires 50% international travel and a heavy work
schedule. International support, engineering, sales or marketing experience of software
products is a plus. We are looking to fill a senior position for the Japanese region. In order to
qualify for this position the candidate must be fluent in spoken Japanese for business with an
understanding of Kanji being a plus. The position has the option of having a home base in
the San Francisco bay area or Tokyo.

Customize and maintain Scopus corporate database which is based on Scopus own customer
care products, Sybase version. Custom programming will be in Tcl (public domain 4th
generation language) and Scopus Works, our own customization tool. Future projects will
include implementation of new HRIS software and replacement of current financial
applications. Required experience includes client/server applications development
experience, package software implementation and maintenance, and relational database
programming, preferably Sybase. Pluses include UNIX shell scripting, Tcl programming
experience and knowledge of Scopus products.

UNIX Administrator

UNIX server and network administration. Performance monitoring and tuning.
Troubleshooting UNIX servers. Installation and configuration of UNIX workstations (Sparc,
RISC 6000, HP). Special projects include TCP/IP cleanup, server consolidation, DNS
cleanup, UNIX network cleanup.. Requires network administration experience in Sun OS
4.x, Solaris 2.x, AIX and HP-UX, including work with NIS+, NIS, DNS, Sendmail, TCP/IP,
UDP, sockets, RPC, streams programming, FTP, and NFS. Also requires experience
installing and configuring UNIX including Sparcs, RS/6000s and HPs.

Coordinate the various activities of recruiting. Work with managers to understand their
recruiting needs and preferences. Organize and manage on-campus recruiting programs and
job fairs. Proactively use new technology and methods to recruit. Log, qualify and route all
resumes. Evangelize Scopus as an employer. Clearly and accurately describe the nature of
our business. Coordinate placement of ads for key positions. Manage outside agency's
relationship for agreement of terms, correct submission of resumes and to ensure duplicate
resumes are not submitted. Phone screen and/or interview effectively for the open positions.
Manage database of resumes submitted. Schedule some interviews. Drive the interview
process.
Requires 1+ years experience in sourcing, recruiting and/or interviewing in a high
technology environment. Must be able to communicate efficiently and respectfully with
others; be self-motivated; create cost effective and professional work environments; initiate
improvements; keep current with expansion plans and requirements; facilitate team

Contracts Coordinator
|
Assist the Contracts Manager in reviewing, executing and administering our various software
agreements such as end user license agreements, evaluation agreements, beta agreements and
non-disclosure agreements. Work closely with our Sales Department, Finance Department,
Consulting Department and external counsel. Assist the Contracts Manager in the review and
negotiations of Non Disclosure Agreements, Evaluation Agreements, Beta Agreements and
Software End User License Agreements. Respond to customer inquiries regarding contract
obligations, renewals and revisions. Manage the Source Code Escrow accounts and other
special projects as they arise. Provide general administrative support to the Contracts
Department which will include photo copying contracts for other departments, faxing
documents to customers and/or internal Sales Representatives, managing the paper flow,
ensuring all appropriate departments receive a copy of the contract, forwarding original
documents to customers, numbering and logging the contracts, various correspondence with
customers and other duties as required.
Requires college degree, highly prefer prior administrative experience in the Technology
Industry (preferably Software), prior experience in a detail oriented position, some
knowledge of Contracts, and a willingness to learn. Requires excellent organizational and
communication skills, excellent writing/editing skills, self starter, self motivated, team
player, able to work well under pressure, with tight deadlines, and with various levels of
professional people. Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and general computer skills.

Prepare and track sales proposals, quotes and contracts. Prepare product orders and
documentation requests. Assist VARs, distributors, clients and prospects with questions
regarding pricing, shipments, etc. Collect data and prepare sales reports. Prepare sales
presentations. Position reports to Regional Sales Director.
Requires ability to handle stressful sales environment, flexibility to work overtime with short
notice, flexibility to work early or later schedules to accomodate other time zones, good
written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail especially regarding sales
quotation numbers in order to produce absolutely error free documents. Requires skill in
Word and Excel for Windows. Pluses include software company experience and sales
administration experience.
