STEVE STABLER (Producer) is co-chairman and co-president of Motion Picture Corporation of America (MPCA), having co-founded the company with Brad Krevoy in 1986. Stabler oversees production, ensuring that each of MPCA's films comes in on time and within budget, without compromising quality.
MPCA most recently enjoyed success with the hit comedy "Dumb and Dumber," starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. They have several new upcoming projects and are currently in production on the MGM comedy "Kingpin," starring Woody Harrelson, Randy Quaid, Vanessa Angel and Bill Murray, due out in Summer 1996.
Stabler acquired his knowledge of film production during his studies at the University of California at Los Angeles, where he earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees in film. He spent two years working in the network news division of ABC Television before returning to school to earn a law degree from Loyola University. He has supervised the physical production of more than 50 films.
Stabler is a member of the Producer's branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and a member of the Directors Guild of America.
