JASON BLUMENTHAL (Executive Producer/Story) is currently Vice President of Production for Mandalay Entertainment, where he is gearing up a number of projects for production this year.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Blumenthal received his B.A. from Syracuse University. After graduation, he went to work for the independent producing partnership of Joe Wizan and Todd Black. At Wizan/Black, he was involved in the development and production of such projects as William Friedkin's thriller "The Guardian," "Fire In the Sky," and "A Class Act," starring Kid 'N Play.
In 1993, Blumenthal was involved in the acquisition of Steve Conrad's screenplay "Wrestling Ernest Hemingway" and, with Todd Black, helped put together an impressive package that included director Randa Haines and stars Robert Duvall, Richard Harris and Shirley MacLaine. Following that success, he joined Todd Black and Randa Haines in their independent production company.
Most recently, Blumenthal served as co-producer for the upcoming comedy "Dunston Checks In." He is also attached as a co-producer on the upcoming production "Stanley's Cup," written by Jeff Schecter from Blumenthal's original story.
