  • PC World's Online Help Resources From the October 1996 issue of PC World, an extensive list of free online technical support sites, electronic-mail addresses and 25 newsgroups that have useful technical information.
  • SupportNet A technical-support Web site with searchable hot links to major hardware and software vendors, downloadable programs and patches and a fault description and solution help desk area (currently only for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95).
  • Internet Help Desk A free service for beginning and intermediate Internet users that offers frequently asked question (FAQ) lists, tools and advice.
  • WWW Virtual Library -- Computing A free service that lists information available on the 'net relating to PCs, Macintoshes and Unix computers.
