AMD World Class Supplier Process

Welcome to the AMD World-Class Supplier process (WCS) web page. These pages provide a means for us to communicate up-to-the minute information to our World-Class Suppliers regarding the WCS process, and it allows them to communicate with us. Through this page, we can relay information about the WCS process, changes to the process, the status of award selections, award criteria, upcoming deadlines and events, and other information vital to WCS participants. We also invite WCS participants and suppliers to provide feedback to us on what the WCS process does successfully and what needs to be improved.

The AMD WCS began in 1987 as the Quality Vendor Program, primarily a ship-to-stock certification program. We have evolved this process to the current WCS process that places emphasis on industry leadership for AMD, its suppliers, and its customers in the five key thrust areas of technology, quality and reliability, cost, service, and flexibility. The WCS process today is the cornerstone of AMD's partnering activities, and is administered by the WCS teams. It goes beyond ship-to-stock. It goes beyond continuous improvement. It emphasizes market and industry leadership for all involved. This page contains information also found in AMD's World-Class Supplier handbook.
