Prefer disk drive/SCSI knowledge, Windows programming and hardware debug. Prefer coop/ intern experience.

Detailed working knowledge of drive interfaces, particularly SCSI. Experience working with customers. Skill in C or C++ programming required. RESPONSIBILITIES: Member of the Western Digital SCSI Functional Integrity Test team in Rochester, MN. Provide applications engineering support to OEM customers during disk drive qualification testing. Primary contact to customer for interface issues. Develop joint qualification test plans, including tests that are run on customer systems in the Rochester FIT lab. Write drive tests to verify and stress drive function during engineering verification testing. Some travel required to support customer qualifications.
