Beta Software Projects

The following software is currently undergoing beta testing. Some are private betas, others are available for public use.

Dialog Enhancer Beta
A program which replaces many of the OS/2 Warp 4 system dialogs and graphical resources, making them easier to read.
FAT32.IFS Beta
Fully functional beta with read and write support. A few features still need to be implemented. Also supports other non-standard partitions like Linux.
Home Page Publisher Beta
WYSIWYG HTML authoring software.
IRC/2: Internet Relay Chat for OS/2 Beta
IRC client undergoing private beta testing. Shareware version available to the public.
KBootManager Beta
Allows you to boot extended partitions as primary ones, so you could install any OS anywhere.
Mesa 2 Version 2.2 Gamma
Full featured spreadsheet. It conforms to traditional spreadsheets in terms of general layout, available features, and fundamental behavior while making the most of OS/2's advanced capabilities. Unique tools for performing tasks such as drag-and-drop ranges, SmartFill, Formula Inheritance, and REXX scripts make Mesa 2 stand out.
MR/2 ICE Newsreader Beta
Newsreader software.
PM IRC/2 Beta
Presentation Manager IRC client undergoing private beta testing.
ProNews/2 Beta
Newsreader from Panacea Software.
Remote Services Management Beta
A program that allows users to manage machines at remote locations.
ShowTime/2 Beta
A background changer and slide show viewer that automatically cycles background wallpaper or slide shows. Uses the WorkPlace Shell and will deal with any bitmaps that are known to your version of OS/2.
VFAT IFS Beta
An Installable FileSystem which allows OS/2 to read and write to partitions formatted with Windows 95's VFAT filesystem. OS/2 normally sees these partitions as regular FAT, which means no access to Win95 long filenames. VFAT-OS2 extends OS/2's capabilities in dealing with these partitions.
Virtual Pascal for OS/2 Beta
Version 2.0 beta expected in April 1998.
WarpAMP MP2/MP3 Audio Player Beta
Audioplayer for OS/2.
WPSoundPalette Beta
Provides an easy method of editing/adding/deleting sound schemes.
