Williams Lake


Located on a public access 1,927.30 hectares servicing 1 reserve with a total of 12 kms gravel or accessible roads. Band office located 5 miles south of Williams Lake, B.C.

The band is named in honour of Chief William, the former Chief of the Sugar Cane Reserve Indians. The reserves were allotted by Commissioner O'Reilly on July 16, 1881. The band is part of the Salishan linguistic group.
