Fantasy Final Results
   [Falc - 4/5/00 8:46 AM PDT]

After a great season of Fantasy QIL, Muiy from Omniscient emerged as the winner with 106.52 points followed by K9-Moonshine (102.42) and nB.Devious (100.27). 504 people played along this season and I hope it was fun for everyone. It was a great addition to the site and really brought the spectators interest up for the matches. Thanks to everyone who participated.

Just a little fyi... Despite all the criticism and rumors of a curse, yours truly finished a very respectable 13th out of the 504. Not too shabby if I do say so myself. hehe.

Abuse vs. DM Final Ruling
   [Falc - 4/3/00 11:28 PM PDT]

The QIL has reached a final decision on the Abuse vs Demolition appeal. The complete finding has been posted in the Forums. Please head over there and read it if you are interested. The QIL now considers the matter closed and is moving forward with plans for the Final Four in San Francisco.

Abuse upsets Demolition, Final Four set!
   [Falc - 4/2/00 7:37 PM PDT]

(4)Abuse defeated (1)Demolition 2-0 Saturday night to advance to the semi-finals in San Francisco. Not many people expected Abuse to even make the playoffs, but they squeeked in under the wire and have now run the gauntlet of K9 and DM to advance to the semi-finals. The first game was very close and went into overtime where Abuse got the sudden-death frag to end it. The second game was great as well, but ended with Abuse wrapping up the victory in two straight. There is some controversy surrounding the first game and it is under protest. The QIL has been asked to make a ruling and will do so Monday night.

The final four teams that will fight it out in San Fran will be Stickmen, Clan Kapitol, r3volution, and Abuse. I hope everyone in the bay area will make it out to Club-i on April 28-30 to watch the finals. I can't wait, it's gonna be a blast!

stx, cK, and r3v advance to the Semifinals in San Fran!!
   [bishop - 4/1/00 12:15 PM PST]

Three very intense quarterfinal games took place last night to determine who would advance to the semifinals, and on to the lan final four in San Francisco! The first match pitted 1st seed Stickmen vs #4 Ichorvile. Stickmen picked dm6, and after a slow start held on for the victory. Game 2 on dm7 saw another slow start by stx, but they pulled it together once again to take it home, 2-0. The second series was the battle of #2 and #3 in the east, cK and xeno. These were two VERY close games, and game 2 ranks as one of the best all season in my book. Game 1 on dm7 saw many lead changes before cK pulled it out in the last few minutes. Xeno picked q3dm14 as their map in game 2, and from the get-go it was obvious they had been practicing. They jumped out to a 60-30 lead just after 8 minutes, and it looked as if cK would need to win game 3 to advance. Spook rallied his troups though, and cK went on an 85-48 run in the final 12 minutes to win this thriller by the final score of 115-108. The third match of the night pitted west favorite r3v against the cinderella Xband, who had just come off a convincing victory against Deathrow. Xband played well in these games, but r3v just overpowered them to win it 2-0. The final semi final spot will be decided tonight at 1am EST, 10pm PST, as team Abuse tries to upset Demolition and advance to the final four in San Francisco. April Madness baby!

Rumble Time!
   [Falc - 3/31/00 6:05 AM PST]

After waiting patiently for almost a week, it's finally time to get back to some QIL action. Two big quarter-final matches are scheduled for tonight. First, (1)Stickmen will take on (4)IchorVile at 9pm est. Both teams are really pumped about the match and expect to win. This will be a real blast to watch. The second game tonight will feature (2)r3volution battling (6)Xband at 2am(!) est. After Xband's upset of DeathRow last week, they are set to make an unlikely run at the Final Four as the #6 seed. However, they have to get past r3v to get there, and that's no easy task. QTV and all your favorite treats will be available near match time in #qil on irc.enterthegame.com. I hope everyone tunes in to see 4 great teams fighting it out for a trip to San Francisco.

A new poll is online to your left asking for your take on the new 'Pro Mode' that was released the other day. I figure by now pretty much everyone has had a chance to try it out and form an opinion. So, is it the Savior of Q3? Was Q3 fine before and this will just split the community? Or will you just play whichever version comes out on top? Sound off!

Thanks to those that responded to my request for Flash experts. We're working on some stuff now that should be extra cool. I'll let everyone know when it's done.
