FOR THE RECORD
An archive of pleadings in high profile cases, business agreements and other full-text documents.

Napster on July 27 asked the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco to stay an order issued by U.S. District Judge Marilyn Hall Patel. Her order would have enjoined Napster from causing or assisting in the copying or distribution of copyright music recordings -- the primary service provided by the business. The motion for a stay was granted on July 28.
