Driver didn't want to skip The Glen, but ready for Michigan
Jeremy Mayfield took a two-week hiatus from writing his diary for CNNSI.com, but it wasn't because he wanted to. Mayfield is back in the car for Michigan, and he writes that it could not have come any sooner. Mayfield knows finishing in the top-10 in points is going to be tough, so he is striving to finish as the wins leader for the year. Mayfield was injured in practice for the Brickyard 400 earlier this month.
