According to the Dow Jones, Sega.com is teaming up with Taiwan Internet-service provider GigaMedia Ltd. to build an online gaming network. The partnership will focus on localizing Sega games for Taiwan's subscribers, translating Sega games into Chinese, as well as working with local games producers to come up with new games. Sega.com and GigaMedia will jointly develop an online game website and a content-based website containing summaries of Sega games.
Sega has confirmed that Space Channel 5's dancing diva, Ulala, will make an appearance at September's MTV Music Awards. The futuristic cyber-babe will appear in her computer-generated form during the award for the best dance video.

Sega.com Asia Ltd said on Friday it will unveil an online game website on Aug. 14, and added that it is also in discussions with its major shareholder for a possible licensing arrangement, Reuters reports. Sega.com said it is also in discussion with Sega.com Inc about a possible licensing arrangement to help Sega.com set up a proprietary network in Asia which would allow for access to Dreamcast game consoles.
