At Direct Hit we enjoy few things in life more than watching things explode. One of our original plans for this website was for it to be a place where we could blow things up and post the video online. Luckily clearer heads, corporate lawyers and the California penal code all suggested that we try other alternatives.

Don't worry, however; we will certainly show plenty of stuff blowing up this week. In fact, we're trying to get our hands on some dynamite right now (true story). Who knows what we could blow up with that? And you can be sure that we'll broadcast our destruction so that you can share in our joy.

We'll also post our best destruction moments from our archives. So be sure not to miss the terrible, terrible things that we did to a PS2, a pack of GI Joe soldiers, household kitchen appliances and, in the case of the stories that I wrote... the English language.

In the meantime, enjoy our stories celebrating the best and worst of destruction from movies, TV and even real life. It's going to be a blast.
