10/18/99 Preview
At first glance, Donkey Kong 64 looks like a bigger, prettier Banjo-Kazooie. However, spending more than a few minutes with the game will convince you it's anything but a remake of the excellent older adventure game.

Monkey Roll Call
The five monkeys who must save their island from King K.Rool each have special abilities. Here's a list for your perusal:

Donkey Kong: Players start the game with Donkey. He can eventually play the bongos and gets a coconut gun.

Diddy Kong: The next Kong players will get (he's in the first world) is Diddy, a small little guy who plays a mean guitar and shoot a little peanut pistol.

Tiny Kong: Tiny joins the crew in the second world, and her special talents lie with a mean saxophone and a feather bow.

Lanky Kong: Lanky picks up the pace of the game also in the second world, and players can outfit this long-armed fellow with a grape shooter and trombone.

Chunky Kong: Forever the shy type, players can find Chunky in the third, factory-motifed level. His pineapple blaster and rockin' triangle will uncover all sorts of secrets.
