Ready for a nonstop thrill ride of heart-stopping, gut-wrenching, hyphenation-inducing fun? Then step aboard the FROGGER Express, friends. Next stop -- Hilarityville! Wacky company Hasbro Interactive hits us with the sequel to its bestselling action/adventure game ever, FROGGER 2: Swampy's Revenge, the game that will put the ac in action, the adv in adventure and the fun, fun, fun in funny!
In this game, FROGGER returns to fight the evil Swampy and Crocodile. Along the way, he must rescue the many innocent baby frogs that Swampy has kidnapped. He does so by jumping on their heads, which makes them disappear. It's a veritable funhouse of fun! As if all of this outrageous wackiness isn't enough to make your head spin, this time FROGGER's got a girlfriend. Lest you harbor some faint fraction of disbelief in your heart about the feasibility of a lady frog, we will refer you to her pink color, her hair and the backpack on her shoulders, which clearly indicate that she is indeed a female. But hang on to your sanity, because Lily won't be the only friend joining our hopping hero. Players will be able to choose from a whole lovable cast of characters to play, each one more fun and crazy than the last.
There will be seven wacky levels in FROGGER 2: the Garden, the Ancients, the City, the Subterranean, Lab, Space and Halloween. With an improved superhop that allows him to cover greater distances than ever before, a power-croak and a bug-seeking tongue, FROGGER is set to bring about the destruction of Swampy's evil empire.
Hasbro has promised that a "well-structured learning curve" will "allow novices to explore expert levels," making FROGGER 2 a game that "anyone and everyone can pick up and play." And after braving the quarter-mile lines that will surely form outside your local gamestore on the day FROGGER 2 is released, why not invite some friends over to play with you? FROGGER 2 will include a Multiplayer mode for up to four players. With FROGGER 2 in your Dreamcast, you're likely to be the envy of friends and neighbors alike, effortlessly garnering the respect and adulation of your peers!
But wait! We were actually lucky enough to get a version of FROGGER 2: Swampy's Revenge right here in the Daily Radar offices. We sat down to play it yesterday and our frantic laughter could be heard echoing throughout the Daily Radar office. Before long, everyone had gathered around our Dreamcast to see what all the hullabaloo was about. Soon everyone was basking in the fun vibes of FROGGER 2. Rivalries were forgotten, apologies were made, friendships were formed, and many a heart was warmed. If FROGGER 2 can do this to a room full of jaded game journalists, just think what it will do to our nation when it's finally released! Just remember, you heard it here first.
