OneNIC technology significantly simplifies the process of installing your shared Internet connection by eliminating the need to install a second Network Interface Card (NIC). OneNIC is made possible by creating a software-based virtual NIC. The real NIC is used for connecting to the cable or DSL modem and the virtual NIC is used to communicate with the other computers in your network.

Multiple Connection Types

Sygate Home Network supports analog and broadband Internet connections, including DSL, cable and DirectPC along with a wide variety of network configurations including Ethernet, HomePNA, HomeRF (and other wireless standards), USB and Ethernet-over-power lines. Sygate Home Network also supports Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) for broadband connections that require authentication.

• Dial-on-Demand -- Sygate Home Network will initiate a dial-up connection if a user tries to access the Internet. You can configure Sygate Home Network to automatically disconnect from the Internet if no one accesses the Internet within a certain time period.
