Message: | It's been gone for at least a couple of years or so. Now it's the Washington Street Bar and Grill, something like that. We have been two or three times. They did a nice job on the interior but the food is just OK for the price and we have not been back in quite a while. You remember the old Black Whale. In the early years at the BW the King Crab dinner was the most incredible meal in town, if not the country. You didn't have to do any work, since they split the huge legs right down the middle and you just pulled the gigantic pieces of crab out with your fork, and dipped them in the vat of butter. And the amount they gave you was staggering. They looked like a fort of Lincoln Logs stacked up in front of you. While I am sure it took at least a couple of years off my life in terms of an early future quintuple bypass surgery, it was all worth it. |
