Message: | Most of the game was very good. I liked their soups as well. If it's warm, consider asking for a patio table, esp. around dusk. Also they have a very nice relatively inexpensive dessert wine, Angelo Pappagni (sp?) Moscato di Angelo. Very rich, not cloying nicely balanced. If you want to try the Edwardian pairing sweet wine with a rich rich roast (or game) go for it. It's a little strange to our tastes but it was high fashion from 1890 to the end of the First World War. Have fun. It's a pretty drive and I like the place. |
