Knoll's Black Forest Inn, on Wilshire, in West L.A., would hardly be described as a home style restaurant. Their cooking is a very light take on traditional German cooking and they serve it in a beautiful environment.
 
However, they offer all those traditional German favorites that are as good a version as you'll find anywhere in town.
 
On a cold winter night there is no cozier place than the table for two in the bar next to the fireplace. And, when the weather is fine, there is no prettier patio to eat in.
