There is an excellent little yakitori place on Sawtelle in West LA, in the little stretch of Japanese shops, called Yakitoria. Close to where the 405 and the 10 cross. Crowded but tasty. Not quite as good as Kokkenokko (I think there's an extra letter or two in there, but I'm not sure which) in Little Tokyo, but then again, the last time I went to Kokkenokko, me and my dining companion picked up something that seemed a lot like salmonella.
 
Even the nurses at the health center laughed at me, when I told them I'd been eating raw chicken...
