Message: | Somehow I remember a call to Elmer Dills, years ago, by a man claiming that California Chicken was the same recipe as that of the fried chicken he had come to love in (of all places) Montreal, and is evidently distinctive to that area -- until California Chicken, of course. But I suppose calling the place "Montreal Chicken" doesn't have as much zing. My local is also the one on Melrose in Hollywood, and it's generally too busy, and with no available parking, for me to bother. But the one time I went, I liked it just fine. |
